BOTH OFFICIAL BANKS
Pass the civics test at your naturalisation interview
Every question USCIS publishes — the 100 of the 2008 test and the 128 of the 2025 test — with the accepted answers and an explanation of why each one is right. Free, and no account.
The two tests
There is no “2020 version”. USCIS published a 128-question test in 2020, withdrew it in February 2021, and issued a new one — the 2025 civics test — which took effect on 20 October 2025. The date on your Form N-400 decides which you sit, and nothing else does.
Answers that stay current
Your senators, your governor, your state capital and the current officeholders change. Those answers are kept up to date rather than frozen into a PDF.
Why, not just what
Every question carries a written explanation, and says what else USCIS accepts — several questions have more than one correct answer.
A course, not a flashcard pile
Six chapters of plain-language text, with the questions for each topic alongside the reading.
Study on your phone
The iPhone app carries the same two banks, mock exams in the real format, and translations of every question, answer and explanation into Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, Tagalog, Korean, Haitian Creole, Arabic, Portuguese and Russian — with the app's own buttons in whichever language you prefer.
